- I have written many congressmen about the anti hate crimes bill and asked them to add an addendum or amendment to it, and that is adding wording for anti anonymity on the internet.
Of course I and others have a stake in that, and reason.

You can find who Topper is easy enough. It's not his real name, but he doesn't hide who he is like for instance the first comment above. :-)
It is a long shot they would ever include something like that in a hate-crimes bill. It's one of those sticky issues where it's hard to determine if something is actually a hate crime or not. Dave (Topper) and I disagree on this issue, because I feel that being anonymous online is not a bad thing, and it's up to those of us who run the websites to determine how much information is allowed to be hidden from the public eye.
We have the power to control it, the problem is if in some instances it gets out of hand and dangerous, we don't have any power to prosecute it. Not sure how that can be fixed. We all have a right to privacy, even if we just want the privacy to be, as the song in this episode said, an asshole.
