- Your ignorant labeling of of your examples of hate speech, as 'hate speech' kind of pissed me off today when I listened to your show. I don't know anything about you, but I suspect that you're among the group of misguided goofballs that walks around Jerome, AZ (which I wouldn't be surprised if you live there since you say your show comes from Arizona...maybe Sedona?). When you talked about "hate speech" and "hate crimes" I wanted to be able to yell at you. Now, I'm not a conservative but I do podcast Michael Savage's show too, and I'm a big fan of Neal Boortz (though I get at most ten minutes of listening time to his show) and it's obvious that you're not a big listener to either of those shows that you cited as (vomit) "hate speech".
If I was going to use that moronic term, I would have to apply it to some of the things that people like Farrakhan, David Duke and Ahmadinejad and the radical Islamists. Not intelligent people like Savage and Boortz (I would love for you to call Boortz and tell him that you think he is a 'hate speeker'...that would be good radio).
I find myself agreeing with a good deal of what I have listened to from you that I can extract as your views, but when you use these stupid liberal buzzwords like "hate speech" and "hate crimes" then I can't help but dismiss any reasonable credibility that I may give you.
Hate speech, used by pansy, bleeding-heart liberals, is a tactic to decry speech that doesn't conform to their rosy little utopian view of how the world should be.
Hate crime, a disgusting perversion of law, is where someone is penalized even more for an already heinous crime because some apparent psychics can read the minds of the perpetrators and figure that the violation was committed based on thought...a thought crime...how nice of you to support Big Brother. Whether or not someone committed an act of violence against someone else because they "hated" them should have no bearing on the punishment as it is merely fantastical liberal ideology that everyone should be forced to accept and cherish each others differences, unless of course, those differences describe a conservative. - Hi Causarius,
I'm really not sure how to respond since you all ready seem to have your mind made up about hate speech and hate crimes not existing. I will say this- you are right. I do not listen to right wing radio shows. Not to say I haven't tried, but the things said are hateful, and they enrage others to hate as well. Hence the shooting at the church in Tennessee.
It's hard to take anyone seriously who is going to say that gays should choke on a sausage, that people who question the government should be shot for treason, or even that liberals are pansies. These are the ignorant statements, not those who want to call it what it is- hateful.
I have no problem with thinking these things. Go ahead and think your hateful thoughts. It's not a crime to think. It's a crime to publicly display your hatred and propagate it in others.
Which is what these hosts do. I for one refuse to be a part of it. My standards are higher, and not just about ratings.
