On this day, when we are all out at our BBQ's and drinking our beers and watching those fireworks while waving the flag, it is my wish everyone takes pause to really consider some things about our country today.A gift to all the Seekers- a poem I always think of during this holiday. Mostly out of amazement that his words can still ring so true today. Enjoy, and I hope I didn't butcher it too much! - Lil sister, my emotion has given me a headache, if not a heartache. You out did yourself on this one.
It is my hope that the true Americans of this country, will on this independence day, as I have done for the last few, eat some humble pie and not honor it. As it is now, and has it has been since 2003 if not sooner. We now live in a land that isn\'t free, that isn\'t independent, and is lead by a man that thinks himself, King.
I hate the fourth of July. Thank you Bush for that. And thank you my dearest friend for this entry, it brought tears to my eyes.
