Truth Seekers Podcast
The search for truth about politics, global affairs, sex, money, religion, gender & sexuality issues..in audio form!

Even with pushing the podcast aside due to the usual crazy that is my life, I couldn't let this election season go by without getting the gang together to talk about the Ballot Propositions on the Arizona ballot!

Just me and the boys this time- Miles, Naum, and Sean- and we went over several of the "hot ticket" items to hopefully help you make some sense of all the nonsense. We all have just enough ideological differnces to make for some good (and at times, heated) discussions. Rest assured no one was harmed during the recording of this show. Oh and PS- I didn't edit, so please do not laugh too hard at all my "likes" and "you knows".

Props discussed:

115: Judge selection process

120: State sovereignty

121: Open primary elections

204: Education tax

114: Crime victims liability

Here on the event page are more links to further your knowledge. We hope we didn't confuse you further! Enjoy- and VOTE on November 6th!

  • Sean and I had spoken about aiming toward smaller government; and Naum had asked if we wanted to make government so small it appears as a third world country. A great quote I had heard to explain "what the best size a government should be", was "A government needs to be powerful enough to enforce contract law", so that when disputes arise between two parties, they don't turn to violence, they turn to the government. I just googled "strong enough to enforce contract law" and this popped up as a good enough of an explanation of what contract law is: http://chestofbooks.com/business/law/Law-Of-Contracts-4-1/Sec-1-Factors-Determining-Development-Of-Contract.html

  • At one point I mention "Yeah if you go to azleg.gov you can find info on who helped contribute"; and I would like to note I was incorrect, it was azsos.gov; here's the relevant link: http://www.azsos.gov/election/2012/General/BallotMeasureNotifications.htm And now looking at this page again, John Whiteman is not the sole donor supporting this bill. But the thing I was talking about, I got from searching the internet for his name, and came up with this page: http://whitemanfoundation.com/about-us/
