Or thinking people, or people who don't buy into fear-tactics, or- well, you get the idea. This episode is not nearly as long as the filibuster the senate had last week. However, we do talk about it!
Hang up your disco balls, because we are about to get down and funky!

I found out some really cool news- a couple of months ago my dear friends Twilight and Thebes nominated Truth Seekers for a Podcast Peer Award. It was a sweet thing to do, but to be honest? I didn't really give it much thought after that. Maybe I was still heartbroken over the silliness of the Radio Talent Contest...
I found out today that I have made it to the finals, along with two other great shows in the politics category! Yay TS!
So, if you are a podcaster, head over to the PPA site now and give me a vote. (There is a short registration process). While you are there, give a vote for all the other great casts that made it to the finals as well. What I'm finding is what makes this award special is that fellow podcasters are the ones giving our shows the nod- it's a nice feeling to know that you are well-thought of among your peers.

Another crazy couple of weeks. I thought things were supposed to slow down in the summertime? This episode covers health care, pointless conservative arguments, and net neutrality. Also, headlines are back!
Warning, this one gets kind of nasty.

On this day, when we are all out at our BBQ's and drinking our beers and watching those fireworks while waving the flag, it is my wish everyone takes pause to really consider some things about our country today.
A gift to all the Seekers- a poem I always think of during this holiday. Mostly out of amazement that his words can still ring so true today.
Enjoy, and I hope I didn't butcher it too much!
